Renske van der Veen is an Associate Professor at TU Berlin and Head of the Department Atomic-Scale Dynamics in Light-Energy Conversion at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin for Materials and Energy Conversion (HZB). She is a leading expert in the field of ultrafast spectroscopy and time-resolved X-ray methods for investigating chemical dynamics. Her research provides fundamental insights into charge transfer and structural processes in functional molecules and materials.

Troels Skrydstrup is a professor of chemistry at Aarhus University (Denmark) specialising in organic synthesis, CO2 activation, and sustainable chemical solutions. He leads the Carbon Dioxide Activation Center (CADIAC) and co-directs the Novo Nordisk Foundation CO2 Research Center (CORC), focusing on plastic recycling and carbon capture technologies.
