Qualification Concept

All training and qualification measures will be operating on three levels, from the individual student, to the respective PhD project and the RTG in general. This integrated approach is designed to ensure that doctoral students receive a comprehensive interdisciplinary education, which they use to implement their own doctoral projects and to acquire additional personal skills that are essential to advance their careers. The team of PIs, supported by the infrastructures of the University of Rostock and LIKAT, as well as by (inter)national experts in the field who will act as guest researchers or hosts for research stays, will not only guide the doctoral students in terms of their doctoral projects, but will also accompany and implement the training programme. The involvement of doctoral students in the decision-making processes and the design of the qualification programme is of central importance in order to give students more responsibility as the RTG progresses. As a result of our training and
qualification concept, we aim to train a team of individual, highly qualified experts in the field of homogeneous catalysis with a special focus on the implementation of spectroscopic methods, who can leave their own footprints in the international academic community and in chemical industry.
